  • New Roots Housing helps expats find rental homes in the Netherlands, with a focus on the Flevoland region. We provide full support, from home search and viewings to negotiation, utility setup, and key handover.

  • Our services are designed for expats, international workers, and families relocating to the Netherlands who are looking for comfortable rental housing in Flevoland, including Almere, Lelystad, Dronten, and surrounding areas.

  • We charge a service fee equal to one month’s rent, with a minimum fee of €1,500. To begin your home search, we require a €500 deposit, which will be deducted from the final service fee.

    This fee covers our full relocation support including property search, viewings (virtual or in-person), negotiation, utility setup, and key handover. There are no hidden costs, and we provide a clear breakdown of services before we start.

  • Yes! We assist with the entire process remotely, including virtual viewings, document handling, and key handover coordination for when you arrive in the Netherlands.

  • Absolutely. We support you in setting up all essential utilities including electricity, gas, water, and internet. So your home is ready to move into from day one.

  • We help find a wide range of rentals, including apartments, family homes, short stay options, and fully furnished rentals, depending on your preferences and budget.

  • We primarily serve the Flevoland region, including Almere, Lelystad, Dronten, Zeewolde, and Emmeloord. We may assist in nearby areas upon request.

  • Most of our clients find a suitable rental home within 4 to 8 weeks, depending on their criteria and market availability.

  • Typically, you will need:

    • A valid passport or ID

    • Employment contract or proof of income

    • Residence permit or BSN (citizen service number), if applicable

    • Bank statements (optional)

    We’ll guide you through exactly what you need and help prepare everything.
